Claret : Francis Francis. 1867. "This fly may be varied by varying the shade of the claret, which may be from light red to
                                              dark purple the wing being sobered down as the fly is made darker."

Tag : Golden twist and golden floss.
Tail : A topping and slips of blue and red Macaw.
Butt : Black herl.
Body : Three of orange floss, medium reddish claret Pig's wool.
Ribs : Stoutish golden thread.
Hackle : A light reddish claret hackle, comensing about halfway down the body.
Throat : Black.
Wings : Tippet, over it mixed fibres of Golden Pheasant tail, Bustard, and Peacock. Fibres of green and red Parrot
            are thrown in. A topping over all.
Horns : Blue Macaw.
Head : Black.
