Thorndyke : Farlow ( Farlow) (first located around 1850 on the Stjørdalselva used by Englisch fishermen).
Tag : Oval silver and light blue floss.
Tail : A topping, possibly kingfisher.
Butt : Black Ostrich herl.
Body : Claret Seals fur.
Ribs : Medium oval silver tinsel.
Hackle : Claret.
Wings : 2 from each: Blue, scarlet and yellow hackles, 2 tippets over.
Sides : Jungle Cock or kingfisher.
Horns : Blue Macaw.
Head : Black.

Thorndyke : Tied after a Forrest & sons plate.
Tag : Oval silver and light blue floss.
Tail : A topping, teal and kingfisher.
Butt : Blue wool.
Body : Claret Seal's fur.
Ribs : Silver twist and medium flat silver tinsel.
Hackle : Claret.
Throat : blue.
Wings : 2 of each: blue, scarlet and yellow hackles, with 2 tippets over. Over that, strips of Bustard, red Swan and Golden
Pheasant tail. A broad woodduck and a topping over.
Sides : Kingfisher.
Horns : Blue Macaw.
Head : Black wool.

Thornydyke : Hardy (Hardy ) 1907.
Tag : Zilver tinsel en blauwe floss.
Tail : Een topping, Ibis, Parelhoen en Chatterer.
Butt : Rode wol.
Body : Scarlet vacht. (Zeehonden ?).
Hackle : Scarlet.
Throat : Blauw.
Wings : 2 van elk : blauwe, scarlet en gele hackles, 2 tippets; Carolina eend en een topping.
Horns : Blauwe Ara.
Head : Zwart.
