No. 1:
 
 
Tag : Gold tinsel and orange floss.
Tail : A topping.
Body : A regular Lee body of silver grey fur.
Ribs : Silver twist.
Hackle : A cuckoo dun hackle to match the fur.
Throat : Blue Jay.
Wings : A long tippet (nearly full length of the wing), some Peacock, a few sprigs of green peacock herl, red, blue and
and yellow Macaw sprigs - the red most plentyfull.
Head : Black.

 
No. 2:
 
Tag : Gold tinsel and orange floss.
Tail : Gallina.
Body : Two-thirds medium blue floss, the upper third medium orange floss.
Ribs : Silver tinsel.
Hackle : A bright brown-olive hackle.
Throat : Blue Jay.
Wings : Golden pheasant tail, cock pheasant, peacock and gallina.
Horns : Blue Macaw.
Head : Black.




 
 
No. 3:

Tag : Gold tinsel.
Tail : A topping.
Butt : Black ostrich.
Body : Three-fifths medium orange floss; the upper two fifths darkish blue floss.
Ribs : Gold tinsel.
Hackle : Darkish claret.
Wings : A largish tippet feather, brown speckled turkey, Golden pheasant tail, green and yellow Swan.
Horns : Blue Macaw.
Head : Black

 
No. 4: " This is a weird looking fly. The contrast between the dark blue body and the light yellow hackle is so strong. "

Tail : A topping.
Body : Dark blue floss.
Ribs : Silver tinsel.
Hackle : Light yellow.
Throat : Blue Jay.
Wings : Brown Mallard, (streaked) golden pheasant tail,and some sword feather.

Tag : Gold twist and yellow floss.
Tail : Teal, Mallard, green Parrot and pale red Parrot.
Butt : Black Ostrich.
Body : Two-thirds ruby floss and one-third medium blue floss.
Hackle : Darkish blue.
Throat : Light red parrot as a hackle, clipped at the breast.
Wings : A golden pheasant red rump feather, light yellow-green Parrot, a little pintail and brown Mallard over all.
Horns : Blue Macaw.
Head : Black.

* Vary this fly with a black hackle and all ruby body, no blue.

Tag : Silver thread and light blue floss.
Tail : A topping.
Butt : Black ostrich.
Body : Light orange floss.
Ribs : Silver thread.
Hackle : Black.
Throat : Blue Jay.
Wings : Mottled Argus, sprigs of tippet, green Parrot and golden pheasant tail, well mixed.
