No.1 :

Tag : Silver tinsel and orange floss.
Tail : A topping and tippet sprigs.
Butt : Pale blue herl.
Body : Two turns of light blue-green floss, yellow olive-green Pig's wool, with a bit of orange at the shoulder.
Ribs : Silver tinsel.
Hackle : Bright claret.
Wings : A tippet and saddle feather, Golden Pheasant tail, and a good bit of Wood duck on either side.

 
No.2 :

Tag : Silver tinsel, lemon floss.
Tail : One topping.
Body : One-third, yellow, rest dark red (almost claret) Pig's wool.
Ribs : Silver tinsel.
Hackle : Medium blue Mohair, tied on in locks at the shoulder for hackle.
Throat : A grouse hackle over the Mohair.
Wings : Under Tippet; over strips of Bustard, Peacock, Pintail, and dark orange-yellow Swan.


No.3 : (Dennison) : Francis Francis claims about this fly " It is a showy fly, but I would banish the Golden Pheasant rump
                               feathers and use double Jungle Cock, instead.

Tag : One turn of silver twist, followed by clare and yellow floss.
Tail : One topping and a slip of Wood duck.
Butt : Black Herl.
Body : One half silver thread, rest light blue floss.
Ribs : Slver twist.
Hackle : Light blue (only down to the silver).
Throat : Jay.
Wings : Two tippet feathers with Jungle Cock over, as long as the hook, and over this, Golden Pheasant rump feathers
(same size as the tippet). A topping over all.
Horns : Blue Macaw.
Head : Black.

No.4 :

Tag : Gold tinsel and yellow floss.
Tail : One topping.
Body : Orange-yellow, merging into distinct orange, and that again into red-brown or burnt sienna at the shoulders,
some of it picked out at the breast.
Throat : A Grouse hackle.
Wings : Sprigs of Pintail, Bustard, Peacock, and Golden Pheasant tippet, A topping over.


No.5 :

Tag :Silver tinsel and blue floss.
Tail : One topping.
Butt : Black herl.
Body : Three turns of gold coloured floss, the rest bright yellow Pig's wool.
Ribs : Silver tinsel.
Hackle : Orange-yellow hackle over the wool only.
Throat : A Light purple claret hackle.
Wings : Mixed; Golden Pheasant tail, Pintail, Gallina, Swan dyed red, yellow and orange.
Cheeks : Kingfisher.
Horns : Blue Macaw.


No.6 :

Tail : A topping.
Body : Half yellow and half lightish medium blue Pig's wool.
Ribs : Silver tinsel.
Hackle : Medium blue hackle over the blue wool.
Throat : Green hackle.
Wings : Tippets; strips of Golden Pheasant tail, Bustard, and Pintail over it, a few sprigs of Golden Pheasant sword
feather for ribs.
* Francis Francis : " This is also a general fly; the body is somewhat like one of Conon bodies. The same fly, with Pea-green Pig's wool and hackle makes a good change."


No.7 :
 
 
Tag : Silver tinsel and one turn of ruby floss.
Tail : A topping.
Body : Orange, merging to brown, and that into blue Pig's wool, dressed roughish.
Ribs : Silver tinsel.
Throat : Darkish medium blue.
Wings : Tippets; and slips of brown Mallard and Pintail over it. Two pea-green Parrot feathers over the buts of
these feathers.
Horns : Blue Macaw.


No.8 :

Tag : Silver tinsel and orange floss.
Butt : Black herl.
Body : Gold coloured floss, three turns, rest black Mohair.
Ribs : Silver tinsel.
Hackle : Black.
Throat : Jay.
Wings : Slices of Swan dyed yellow and orange, brown and grey Mallard, Golden Pheasant tail, a few sprigs of Golden
Pheasant tippet and a topping over.
Cheeks : Kingfisher.
Horns : Blue Macaw.


No.9 : (Highlander):
 
 
Tag : Silver twist and gold floss.
Tail : A topping.
Butt : Black herl.
Body : Gold coloured floss, nearly half up the body for a small fly, if large, a few turns of silk and thin yellow
Pig's wool, above this dirty olive-green Mohair.
Ribs : Silver tinsel.
Hackle : Pea green.
Throat : Jay.
Wings : Sprigs of tippets; Golden Pheasant tail and Mallard, with Pintail over.
Sides : Doubled Jungle Cock.
Horns : Black.
